Sometimes even toys need a little time to play. Unfortunately, Barbie’s Ken screwed up the vacation plans they have. That’s the premise of Pixar’s new animated short, Hawaiian Vacation, which picks up with the characters of Toy Story 3 as they settle into their new life with the new addition to the family – little girl Bonnie.
Toy Story short does a great job of transitioning to the format of a short film in an awesome 3d format. The entire film is set in new owner Bonnie’s bedroom. The Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation features Woody (dubbed with the voice of Tom Hanks) and Buzz (dubbed by Tim Allen) and the rest of the favorite “Toy Story 3” toys as they create the ultimate Hawaiian vacation for Ken (voice of Michael Keaton) and Barbie (dubbed by Jodi Benson).
The Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation features Ken who badly miscalculated their travel arrangements, so the gang has to create a dream getaway in Bonnie’s Midwestern bedroom—in the middle of winter. This Toy Story installment also features the voices of Joan Cusack, Wallace Shawn, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Blake Clark, Bonnie Hunt, Timothy Dalton, Kristen Schaal, Jeff Garlin and John Ratzenberger.
Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Rex and Co. have no Toy Story 4 on the horizon. The Toy Story Hawaiian Vacation will premiere before Cars 2 in June, Ken and Barbie take the lead, trying to recreate the tropics in their new owner’s bedroom after the two dolls fail to stow-away with Bonnie on a family getaway.
